Ponnusamy Hotel began its remarkable journey in 1954 when Mr. A.R. Velu Pillai and his younger brother Mr. Ponnusamy, two ambitious teenagers from Hanumanthakudi near Devakottai, transformed their dreams into reality.

From a humble, sloped-roof establishment in Royapettah, they built a legendary culinary empire that has served cinema stars, politicians, and Chennai's elite for over 70 years.
